“In Response takes the news of our times straight from our streets and our screens and builds awareness and activism so that people feel empowered to make change. That is the power of the performing arts in 2025.” - Veronica McCleeland. This production was delivered through a series of short plays and films with a variety of topics and tones ranging from satirical musical numbers to dramatic monologues where a man nearly burns live. Needless to say my ability to help the actors tell their stories, without becoming a distracting factor was challenged. Add into that working with n older dimmer system where nearly all channels were doubled, low ceiling heights, and losing a third of the stage to  set pieces with projections made sure that my technical knowledge got the same workout my artistic side did.
